Megan Lindeboom
is an interdisciplinary artist born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has gained an extensive education in the arts beginning in high school when Megan successfully graduated with twelve awards to her name. Of which, two were Student Emmy Awards and two were first place prizes from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. During her senior year, she was the Vice President of Women’s Awareness and Empowerment as well as Associate Producer of Beyond the Rock School News.

Megan studied Experimental Film in the Honors College of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee for one year before COVID-19 brought her back to Michigan where she would live with her brother in Ann Arbor and transfer to the University of Michigan. She originally pursued a double major in FTVM (Film, Television, and Media) and English with a minor in German and a subconcentration in both Creative Writing and Screenwriting, but due to financial constraints, Megan opted for a General Studies degree in which she took theater directing, elementary conducting, experimental animation, singing, and piano classes, but her focus was always on FTVM, English, and German.

She was very active in school, participating in multiple student organized groups and events. She joined the university’s radio station WCBN FM Ann Arbor 88.3 and hosted a show called Moon’s Tunes! for two years. She participated in various student film crews gaining experience in every role while also working three part time jobs as Lead Server at the Dixboro Project, Fellow for U of M’s Groundworks, and Videographer for the university’s professional video studio. Having taken over the number of average credits per semester, Megan graduated from U of M in 2023 with a 3.6 GPA and three awards to her name (two first place and one runner-up prizes) from the university’s student film showcase Lightworks. Post-graduation, Megan moved to Berlin, Germany, to improve her German and obtain a Master’s of Arts degree in Amerikanistik from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She is expected to graduate in 2025 and continues to pursue the arts, filmmaking and storytelling every day.
